Opening the ‘doors’ to Castle Complements came in June of 2000.
Mathew, recently home from the U.S. Army, got a phone call from an aunt who had a friend that needed some painting done.
This was not new to Mathew, though it had been a few years since he picked up a brush. Painting this customer’s castle led to the next step.
Previous to his military endeavor he had painted with his mother, Debi. She was a painter and wallpaper installer by trade for almost 20 years at the time. Many customers saw this duo paint together for the first 5 years in business working strictly by word of mouth. Business steadily increased and Mathew took on his first of many employees.

I had scheduled Castle Complements for an estimate to paint the interior of my condo. Mat arrived on time and was very personable and pleasant. He was very thorough when assessing the work that needed to be done. His estimate was very fair so I agreed to contract with him. He was very helpful with suggestions of colors. Like Mat, his crew were very friendly and professionable. When I went to check on the progress of the work, his workers always asked how I liked what had been done so far. Years ago, when my husband was in a business networking group, he met Matt, from Castle Complements, whom we hired to do some power washing. That was many moons ago, and we decided it was time to do it again. We have since put on an addition, garage, and a new deck and lattice work, and the house needed some refreshening. Mathew Richards
Owner
Mathew started castle complements at the age of 23. Before that he was a Combat Engineer in the ARMY where he served at Fort Campbell, KY and at Camp Howze in South Korea.
When not painting he loves to spend time with his wife son and daughter.
Charles “Chuck” Griffin
Painter
Dan, lead painter, has 23+ years of painting experience. Coming from a family run business he has been an asset to our paint family. He loves systems and getting things done.
Daniel "Dan" Wilson
PainterNick, painter, has 4+ years of painting experience. He comes from a commercial painting background.
Nicholas “Nick” Toe
Painter
Chuck, a foreman, has 20+ years of painting experience. He brings knowledge of new construction painting methods, spraying aptitude and overall job site acumen. He’s our gentle giant at 6’5” tall.
